I am passionate about people and the Spirit of UBUNTU!
("I am because we are.")

Born in Zimbabwe in the Southern part of Africa, the philosophy of “UBUNTU” truly drives Pastor Zivai Mtyora's passion. Ubuntu is the essence of being human through the eyes of others and living in a global community with people and cultures reflecting a complete picture of humanity. Therefore, living in isolation is a complete violation to the essence of being human.

Pastor "Zee," as he is affectionately known, is an ordained Pastor and before founding Prayer Works was a Strategy and Execution Executive at The Worship Center Christian Church in Birmingham, Alabama. He has held an Associate Pastoral position at Jubilee Christian Church, one of the largest churches in Boston, Massachusetts. Pastor Zee is an author, inventor, and soccer, volleyball, and basketball coach. He has also held positions at the Brigham and Women Hospital in Boston.

Pastor Zee has traveled significantly to more than 30 countries, through playing competitive sports, speaking engagements, and for leisure. His travels have significantly broadened his mind and given him a better understanding of how massive God’s kingdom is and that has birthed a passion for humanity and seeing God's kingdom come.

A husband, father, son, friend, brother, mentor, coach and a true African at heart, Pastor Zee’s understanding of the world is summed up by one simple word, “others.” "That’s why we exist," he says, "to love is to be loved and it is to live. The church is a living, spiritual organism of gifted people serving one another in availability and love."

Pastor Zee is married to April Joy Mtyora. They have three children, two boys and one girl and are hoping to adopt a fourth child. Educated in Zimbabwe, England, and currently living in the United States, Pastor Zivai Mtyora mostly wants to be recognized simply as a servant of Christ.

The evidence that we existed and we were once here is family.
