Created for God's Glory
We are created for God’s glory. Glory is for God. The enemy tries to make it difficult for us to accomplish what we were created to become or do so that God will not get the glory.
In John 17:1, 4, 5, Jesus prayed “Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You,” and “I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do. And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.”
Although the devil has set up a hierarchy to mimic God and fight us from reaching our destiny, God has equipped us with everything we need to fulfill our purpose. We have to take a stand. Standing our ground only happens through prayer.
Abraham was told by God to build Him an altar and to give Him his very best—his son Isaac. It was a test of faith.
Like Abraham, we also have to build an altar for God. Our altar is not physical but spiritual. It is a place where we have a personal encounter with God. It is a place of forgiveness, worship, covenant with God, intercession, refuge, and comfort.
